Local Immersive Experience
One of the emerging trends in spatial branding is designing experiences that enhance local context and authenticity. A great example of this is restaurant NAAR, a culinary experience by Prateek Sadhu and team, branded by Radhika Chopra Design Studio. The goal for the chef and the design team was to create an authentic Himalayan dining experience that immerses guests in the region’s essence.

Breaking Down the Spatial Experience
- Aesthetic & Color Palette – The design incorporates a traditional Himalayan aesthetic, using an earthy color palette with pops of green to mimic the natural landscape.
- Materials & Textures – Wooden textures and raw walls evoke an unfiltered, organic feel, staying true to the rugged beauty of the Himalayas.
- Elements of Culture & Nature – The integration of stone utensils, pine cones, and mountainous herbs and plants as décor elements deepens the connection to the Himalayan culture.
By blending materiality, color, and cultural storytelling, NAAR’s spatial branding doesn’t just create a restaurant—it transports guests into the heart of the Himalayas, making the experience both memorable and immersive.
